Adult support in classroom

5 October 2018 (by Steven Mayfield (Steven))

The funding crisis WILL NOT affect your child's learning

Due to the funding crisis, one worry many schools face is about maintaining a high level of staffing within all classrooms. Ash Green has always ensured all pupils are supported by at least one teaching/support assistant per class, and often more. Sadly, many schools are finding this level of staffing is now not possible. At Ash Green, however, this will not change: pupils will continue to receive the support they need from having at least two adults per classroom. Additionally, ALL pupils whose learning requires an EHC Plan will always receive 1:1 support as designated by the plan.

If you wish to discuss in-school support for your child, or have any worries on this matter, please get in touch with school.
